CIC was founded by communications expert Erikka D. Neroes. Erikka's career spans more than 25 years. Her passion for proactive public relations and timely, effective communications led her to starting CIC during her tireless efforts working as a full-time employee and part-time freelance consultant for various organizations. Erikka’s performance has been recognized globally for her work on public relations and crisis communications with several government agencies at the county, state and federal level. As a media relations and marketing expert, Erikka has delivered profound and unprecedented results for private sector companies in the healthcare industry as well as churches and other organizations in the nonprofit space. Erikka’s career began as a visual communications entrepreneur in her teens, designing collateral for community organizations, educators, churches and small businesses, long before the sophisticated software programs of today. Her mastery for writing, pursuit for perfection and attention to detail landed her some of the most respected and high-profile roles in her field. From her honorable service in the United States Marine Corps to starting The Center for Integrated Communications, Erikka has partnered with or been employed by organizations large and small in the nonprofit, public and private sectors for more than 25 years. She has made media headlines with major news networks many times in her career during globally publicized events. Erikka has garnered recognition from notable public figures across the United States, including Washington, D.C., for her creative and effective approach to crisis communications. During times of crisis, Erikka is an adept spokesperson who works diligently to ensure the public’s trust while allowing her clients to do their vital work. Practicing for nearly three decades, Erikka has front line experience with how positive and negative public relations and communications affect individuals and organizations. As a champion for proactive communications, Erikka’s earned media, ad value and brand recall portfolio for her clients is as impressive as it is extensive. Over the course of her career, she has pioneered best practices still being utilized by former colleagues, partners and employers. She is widely known for her uncanny knack for providing unique and stellar results. She prides herself in the ongoing, meticulous study of every aspect and trend in the entire spectrum of the communications industry. Staying ahead of the industry’s frequent changes is Erikka’s sixth sense.

Erikka earned dual bachelor’s degrees in public relations and organizational communication cum laude and a master’s degree in public administration from The University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in nonprofit management and a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators.

Erikka is native to Texas, where she resides when she’s not traveling for work on behalf of clients.
